Documenting the journey of a Cameroonian filmmaker

Camer Video! Banned in Cameroon; watch J. P Bekolo’s film ‘The President’ on Buni.TV for free

Renowned Cameroonian Film Director Jean-Pierre Bekolo faced the wrath of Cameroon’s government with his film ‘The President: “How Do You Know It’s Time to Go?’ Upon release, the film is banned from screening in Cameroon due to its reference to Cameroon’s sitting President, Mr. Paul Biya.

The President. How Do You Know It’s Time to Go?’ touches on sensitive issues among Africa’s ‘oligarchies.’ Questions like; what does the failing health of the continent’s few remaining dictators-for-life mean for their country? Questions which will certainly not be appreciated by the likes of Mr Paul Biya,  Michael Sata of Zambia, who rumours claim is in India or London for treatment, and Angola’s Eduardo dos Santos, who simply cannot be located at all.”

Bekolo, who just returned from the US after many years of teaching filmmaking in American universities, urges Cameroonians and Africans everywhere to take advantage of this window of opportunity with BUNI.TV and watch this movie for free. This Free view is only available for 1 week, from October 12 after which it will go under subscription. So my people take advantage of this!

Click on BUNI.TV to watch.

Let’s encourage the work of our fellow Cameroonian brother.

WHAT’S YOUR TAKE ?
