Breaking News?? VOTER REGISTRATION BEGINS AT CAMEROON EMBASSY WASHINGTON

Ambassador Joseph Foe-Atanga

This is interesting… there is a communiqué making its rounds on the internet sent out by a certain Lady Kate Njeuma.  This communiqué apparently from the Embassy in Washington DC informs the entire Cameroonian Community in the US of the start of The Voter Registration process.

Apparently a delegation of ELECAM officials from Cameroon have arrived and set up office at the embassy to implement and regualte this process.

Unfortunately, I could not attach a copy of this communique through this medium but I urge everyone to carry out their research. However what I know from the communique (which is in French and certainly not translated into English) states the following;

-To register, every citizen must hold a valid Consular card.

-Every registered citizen will be handed a receipt with the date and place of registration.

– Citizens can get their Consular cards up to 15days before the actual Election day (when is the actual election day?)

For more on this, click Embassy and read the News Updates.

MY TAKE

Cameroon!! Something this important should be communicated officially by the Ambassador himself as a matter of urgency. Couldn’t they even create a facebook page? Vous continuez a nous decevoir. It’s not even funny anymore.

WHAT’S YOUR TAKE?

    I am anxiously awaiting the news that a Beti person like me, now American citizen, will be allowed to register to vote in the Cameroonian national elctions.

    I hope this is a positive step toward dual citizenship.
