Na wa oh! Mother injects 8 years old with Botox

First of all, I will start this post by describing what Botox is.  According to medicalnewstoday, Botox is a neurotoxic protein with scientific name botulinum toxin, which is used in cosmetic surgery to control the weakening of muscles.

So tell me, why does an 8 year-old child need Botox when her muscles are still developing?

Californian mom, Kerry Campbell  admitted to regularly injecting her 8-years old daughter Britney, with Botox. In her defence, Kerry says that she wanted to give her daughter a chance at Child beauty Pageants.

The story came to light when Kerry was shown on an US morning TV giving her daughter the injections. Although Britney admitted that the jabs hurt, she also said that she  did not want any wrinkles on her face.

According to news reports, officials from the Child Protection Unit have taken Britney away from her mother while investigations continue.

What is this world coming to? Why would an US morning show release this to the world? I’m sure when they did they were not even thinking of the child but of their ratings.
